Natural Cures for Boils
Skin boils can be as common as they are unsightly. Boils are nothing but a manifestation of an infection by Staphylococci bacteria, which begins as a small red, hyperthermic local spot and then advances to turn into an ugly, white to whitish yellow pus filled elevation which can occur on any part of the body. The most common parts of the body where boils are often found to occur are the face, the scalp, the hind region and also the underarms, many women report occurrence of boils on their thighs and back, although these can also occur in men.
A boil occurs at an infected hair follicle, and should be dealt with as soon as possible. The reason for this urgency is that often, although not always, a boil may further progress to a furuncle or something even more morbid. Although there is nothing even remotely life threatening about having a boil, it can be really embarrassing, especially for those who are unfortunate enough to have frequent outbreaks on the face.
Nature tends to take its own curse when it comes to the resolution of a boil. A boil normally regresses itself with time, but may leave an unsightly scar. Also, some of us may not have the luxury of a waiting period before that important meeting, conference, presentation, date, etc, in which case we need to cure this unwelcome addition in a quick and safe manner.
The safest methods that can be utilized to get rid of boils are all natural methods. Nature has provided us with various tools to get rid of boils, and here is how to use these tools:
Citrus Fruits: Citrus fruits and other fruits that are rich in vitamin C can help resolve the boil in two ways. First of all, vitamin C is essential for a healthy connective tissue layer. Connective tissue is the tissue beneath your skin and fat which contains regenerative and immune cells, blood vessels and is important for the youthfulness and elasticity of the skin. Secondly, Vitamin C is itself an immune booster. A healthy and empowered immune system equals a healthy and quick resolution of the infection.
Garlic: is known to have bactericidal properties and is helpful when it comes to curing boils. Garlic is also a well known blood purifier as well as being an antibiotic.
Antioxidants: These include other vitamins like Vitamin A, which is found in yellow and orange fruits and vegetables. Consume and topically apply the paste of plenty of carrots, mangoes and even butter.
Bitter Gourd Juice: this is a blood purifier and should be taken first thing in the morning, along with a tablespoon or two of lemon juice. The remedy is not very quick, and may take from a few days to a few weeks to show any real success, but it cures the problem from the root and also ensures a healthy, glowing complexion and pure blood.
Turmeric powder applied on the site of the boil also acts as a bactericidal agent.
